Just got in my IxI's and they are pretty amazing. Been wearing them for about 4 hours and already can see a wear pattern from my phone. They are almost black and it looks like pretty much any substantial crease is going to show up as a nice and vibrant blue. Could not be more excited about these. I've been pleased with all of the jeans I've received from them, though. And these Italian IxI's are looking to be my next favorite pair of denim. Done talking about the shirt issue for a bit, but this is good to hear. I love the Italian denims that Gustin uses, I'm wearing my Grey x Black today, the Black x Aqua are my favorite, and I've been considering the IxI and BxB cause I like the feel of their fabric so much, and they just look great.

I don't get if you were me you'd ask for a refund? Was that a shot at me? I think he's saying those of us that have had good luck and not many problems, a store credit refund is fair, for you brentkuz, with the terrible record you've got, would be right to insist on a complete refund to take your money elsewhere.

The measurements are all within spec but the rise is slightly smaller than the 10.3, its just under 10.

Received my brown organics today from Gustin. Really unique denim, I like it. I wear sport coats most days to work. So these should work nicely. Measurements were spot on with the fit guide (most of my previous Gustins came in undersized). Only minor quibbles are that the rivets are placed somewhat sloppily (i.e. uneven) and one of the button holes is cut very close to the outter edge of the fly (a little worried about it ripping through over time).
One issue I have with these Gustin straights (wondering if anyone else does) is that the size that fits me in the thighs and waist band end up being very snug across the band two or three inches below the button. (I'm waiting on some raw umbers in slim sized up one, see if that works any better).
I also notice that the interior tag says made in "California"... All my previous Gustins said made in "San Francisco". Wondering if Gustin is using additional sewers now, maybe down in Los Angeles.
Anyone else here get these?

Received the Japan Olive today and they also say California. Italian Grey x Black, Okayama Grey x Grey, Black x Coal, are also California. Actually everything I've received that hasn't had some sort of sizing issue says California instead of San Francisco, CA.

joe24, Tertius Gaudens, I've got to say that those Italian IxI's look pretty effin sweet after seeing them on the campaign page. They look identical to my GUSTIN IxI's (Japanese) and remind me that I need to start putting them in to rotation. Nice score.

oh and just a word of warning joe24 and Tertius Gaudens, if the Italy IxI are anything like the Japanese IxI, then they will be major bleeders. If they are be careful wearing them with light shoes and shirts.

Stuff I'm waiting for… let's see here.
#75 Okayama Standard 32 Straight #174 Zimbabwe 18 32 Straight #156 Italy Sea Blue 32 Slim Rainbow Nep White Chambray Fitted L Rainbow Nep Indigo Chambray Fitted L Indigo Slvdg Chambray Scarf Black Ballistic Backpack #96 Rocket Flannel Fitted L #6 Multi-Color Wool CPO L #166 Italy IndigoXIndigo 32 Straight (backed today)
I've noticed some people are having issues with the shirts. I can say that the two that I currently have, (Japan White and Charcoal Oxford) were very nice and I quite liked the feel and look. No errors, but they are simple shirts. I ordered a Large and as expected, they are big in the chest and waist, so I have taken them in to have them tailored. I'll get them back on tuesday, and I'm looking forward to it. I also have a Blue Rust Flannel waiting for me to pick up which I also expect to have tailored.
The two rainbow nep chambrays and rocket flannel, I backed right after they offered the Fitted sizing… so I'm hoping this will solve my issue of having to have them tailored. Anyone able to speak on the new fitted sizing vs standard? Also, something I've seen come up on more than one occasion is the issue of the patterned shirts being sewn up unevenly… this has made me a little nervous about how my Blue Rust and Rocket flannels will look.

Decided to distance myself as much as possible from that wall.... Hope nobody from that party reads this forum...

Ordered them, but still no shipping notice yet. I just received my Harvest Gray Ember and Blue Rust flannels. Very nice, though one of the buttons on the Harvest flannel is very slightly misaligned. No one will notice due to my rumpled state. The colors are better, imo, than what the pictures on the website showed.

To cut the selvedge off of the material by mistake, seems unimaginable to me. After all, they are using a shop that does lots of higher end shirts for the Japanese market. It seems fair to me that those who are affected by this should at least be offered a decent discount on these, or some other perk. I couldn't let them get away with that mistake, especially with all the other stuff I've had to put up with. This isn't a workshirt but rather one of their normal shirts, so not the shop that makes the workshirts. I'm trying not to divulge what they've already done since I don't think that's the honorable thing to do, but they did make an attempt at making it right. I still haven't decided how I feel about it, beyond frustrated. And I really haven't had as much bad luck as some others. I guess its good that they tried offering to fix it, but I guess to me it doesn't really matter where it was sewed. Only someone who knows nothing about clothing would do that, let alone someone who makes clothes for a living. Makes me wonder if the person responsible still has a job?

I'm a little bummed about it, but I've ended up canceling the waffle dobby. I feel Gustin handled it about as well as they can, given the situation.
This brings my incoming list to the following: Japan WabiSabi Workshirt - in sewing last week American Sixteeners - shipping around first week december Italian Brown Black Workshirt - in sewing last week Black x Coal Apron - shipping around first week december Japan Caramel Chino - in sewing, maybe (cut week of 11/5) Japan Slate Blue Twill -- January
If the High Density Black Coal Chore Coat makes it, that one will be on the list. Though I'm thinking of foregoing that entirely and getting an anorak from RAINS.

I received my Brown Organics, and I'm not sure what I think. They definitely look better than the streaky Brown Organic Hemps, but still a bit too streaky for my tastes. I will figure out if I should keep them or post them up on BST. 33 Slim for anyone that's considering.
Waiting on: Charcoal Duffel - Supposedly shipping sometime next week. Zimbs - Shipping first week of December, so I'm guessing sometime next week. Raw Umbers - Shipping first week of December, so I'm guessing sometime next week. Herringboner CPO - Started cutting almost 4 weeks ago, hopefully will get these sometime in the middle of December. Cone BluexBlacks - Can still change shipping and size (Backed 10/16, slated for December shipping but seems unlikely)

Well, I was waiting for my Brown Organics. Looks like I won't be getting them after all. They didn't pass QC. C'est la vie.

I was sweating the QC on these because I was one of the last if not THE last person to get in on this. standard zimbs and loomies in the hopper and i was in very early on both of those, so likely no risk of a QC issue.

Update on Japan Khaki WS. They are done but apparently, not shipping until last week of December. I'm not sure why though.

I'm waiting on my standard Zims. Ordered in early September but these seem to be getting pretty far behind.
Supposed to ship last month, then this week. I think there was a problem with the shipment of denim to the factory?
