I just want be clear that I'm not trying to pile on or anything, it just seems to me that the nature of the delays (and marauder addresses it above as well) is quite odd. From what I can tell, ALL of their back in Sept/deliver in November are behind, and those of us who backed those goods got notification that manufacturing was complete and those goods would be delivered to the fulfilment center by Wed last week to ship out, and nearly a week later, I can still change my shipping address. Having a background in finance/banking and as someone who's livelihood is directly linked to timely payment of A/R from small businesses, any time I see any sort of out of the ordinary or "exception turning into the rule" delays, those delays are typically as a result of cash flow. It's possible that the subcontractors are behind or not meeting their promises, or it's possible that the production is complete and the subcontractors are holding merchandise waiting on payment. At the end of the day, like rest of you, I just want my product. I think I'm actually more disappointed that I won't be here when they arrive and I was hoping to take one or two of the things I'm waiting for with me on vacation at the end of the week. It's fine, though just not what I'm used to out of Gustin. ah well.

author=" Old26"]Dude - enough. Deal with facts or don't post it - that goes for people and vendors alike. Have an issue or question for a vendor? Contact them directly. Do not poison the forum with hearsay and speculation. It's not going to happen here. That is more than fair warning. This applies to all members. Gentleman, it would be great if we could keep all the conspiracy theories to a minimum. As old26 said keep to the facts and deal with vendors directly with problems. Let's try to be a forum where we don't jump on the first chance to hype up a problem such as late deliveries, garment errors etc. Yes we want honest reviews the good and the bad but we can do it in a tactful way. Things will happen but as we have seen in the past, things usually get straightened out in the end. Patience. Thanks Winterland

The funding model has huge risk on the part of the consumer, and IMO there is nothing wrong with discussing those risks in a professional manner. Frankly, I don't think that as the party who provided funding for a fraction of a run that the onus should be on me to pepper an organization with emails or phone calls in an attempt to ascertain of the status of my product. I believe that the onus is on that organization to provide me and others with timely, factual and honest updates of the process. When those are not received, it calls in to question the business practice as a whole.

From the Gustin Community:
StephenPowell Gustin Employee Since Mar 2013 297 posts by nater What was the cause of the delay is on the various orders? Was it simply too many orders to fill? Or where their production problems? We were a little over-optimistic with regards to what we could produce in November, and took a hit with the Thanksgiving week.
dt27 Customer Since May 2014 379 posts Hi Stephen, would it be safe to assume the December items will be pushed into January? i.e. Postal Hbone jeans, American Hbone WS, Italian Recycle and Army Green Duck Canvas Chinos?
StephenPowell Gustin Employee Since Mar 2013 297 posts I wouldn't make that assumption yet - we're back up at full speed.

When those are not received, it calls in to question the business practice as a whole. We have no issues with anyone posting up: My items came in screwed up - here's why. My order was placed 3 months ago and nothing has arrived.
But we need to steer clear of "why" we think something is happening. We don't know - we are a forum, not a rep for vendors. They're welcome here, and we'll allow them reasonable leeway to use the space to discuss and promote, but we're not them, so we prefer that people use good judgement when posting.
I've had bad weeks where I sold something on eBay only to have "life" get in the way and not be able to ship right off. I had a guy report me on day #2 because a used for parts iPod - a $10 purchase - did not show as shipped.
There are often reasons why people and vendors stumble. Ruining their reputation, or inundating them with queries is not the function of this forum. I hope you all get what we want here - it's not a black/white thing, but rather being cool and having some class while discussing the up and downsides of being a "blind" consumer.
We absolutely want honest feedback and posts. We're almost at 200 members, and in order to keep them coming back, we have to be fair above all.

Just got an email from Ren. Most likely, BlackXRed will be shipped in January instead of December.

Anyone heard anything about the delivery of the Wabisabi Workshirt? It supposes to ship out in November. I just checked and I could still change the shipping address.

I was checking the status on my phone and wasn't paying attention to the message. I just went back and see it now. The lighter color is a bit harder to read too.

My Zimbs shipped last night. Went over to the Gustin site to get the tracking number and had a look at the community. Apparently (get prepared for a deja vu moment), people are receiving these without the veg tan patch.
Which one is the head smacking emoticon?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but for some reason I remember the hubbub being that some came with the veg tan patch instead of the brown patch, when everyone was expecting the brown patch.

just got shipping notifs for raw umbers and american 16ers. Sixteeners shipped for me, too. Production update on the Wabisabi says it ships end of next week, Brown x Black workshirt expected to ship last half of the month (I'm thinking last week is likeliest just based on the volume of stuff they're trying to get out the door these next few weeks) and Japan Caramel Chino just adjusted to last week Dec early Jan. Here's hoping at least one will be a Christmas present from August/September me.

Actually, it was the other way around. They were supposed to have been the veg patch. Some of us (myself included) got brown - which I actually prefer. But my pair came without bar tacks.

Guess I can't get mad either way. They took long enough, 3+ months, and I'm expecting the world on these denim.

just got shipping notifs for raw umbers and american 16ers. I just got notification about the Raw Umbers as well. These better fit because they're the most I've been excited about since I started this Gustin addiction. Missed out on them in March, when I first learned about Gustin, and they haven't appeared again until this offering.
