It's pathetic how bad I am posting to forums, you can tell I don't work with computers much. imgur.com/a/jwaZz

If you still have a credit I could use one. Wish I did, gave them away but have only had one redeemed. I get $50 credit whenever one is used so I'm trying to get a free shirt out of the deal! I'm working on mine. But, I've had a heck of a time deciding on which fabric to go with. I've narrowed it down to 2... Ivory Thomson Plaid. or the Oatmeal Melange Chambray. Between Christmas gifts, and personal Black Friday grabs, I've spent nearly $2K. So, it may have to wait a little bit longer. I'm shooting for the end of December. Sorry for holding up the freebee.

Both of those shirts look great. I think I like the oatmeal chambray a bit more. Very unique fabric.

No shade directed your way, my bad if it came off like that. Do your thing, these holidays have been pricey for me too, just hemorrhaging cash! Personally I'm leaning toward the Japanese corduroy they recently dropped, the navy looks particularly nice.

Still working on mine too! I've got my fit dialed in, but just can't pull the trigger on a fabric.

Still working on mine too! I've got my fit dialed in, but just can't pull the trigger on a fabric. I'm itching to get another one. I was planning on ordering a wine oxford when they get the fabric back in stock, but now I'm considering the olive mesa flannel. Maybe I'll get both. I kinda also want to try a linen shirt. Maybe the gingham or the ouray blue and yellow. Sort of thinking of replacing my white and grey Gustin oxfords with Ratio oxfords too. The G oxfords are OK, but the fit pales in comparison to Ratio.

I love linen and cotton/linen blends. Can't go wrong with those.

That olive mesa is sweet! Definitely wouldn't go wrong with that one. I've considered getting a blue/white gingham several times and now that I have plans to move back to Tennessee this summer it just might happen. Gotta start thinking southern USA instead of PNW.

They have added a bunch of fabrics since last I looked.
I'm so into the seersucker the past year. And I like some of their florals.

I wish Ratio had even half of the options that Proper Cloth does. Oh well. I plan to get a shirt with the $50 credit soon.

I think i'm going to go with this evergreen chamois shirt with brown buttons. I can't decide on a collar. Thoughts? I'm leaning towards the Semi Spread to give it a more casual workshirt appearance.

First Ratio order has been made!
Basically made a MiUSA version of the TS Yosemite shirt. Which is fine by me, as it came out $40 less.

Just placed my order, so whoever gave me the $50 should be getting theirs back. Thanks!
Anyone need a gift card btw? I have 3 to give away.

I feel like we should set up a database and keep each other in $50 Ratio coupons. Ponzi scheme of discounted OCBDs!

So I received my shirt from ratio today and after the initial try on I've got just a few comments. The quality is top notch and it's a gorgeous shirt but I need a few things changed. This is my very first shirt, so it definitely takes some dialing in.
1. The spread collar is very stiff and on the 9oz chamois it's almost too stiff. This works for the dress shirts but not so much for the casual style I was seeking. Do they make an unstructured collar that would lay down a little better? Even removing the collar stays doesn't affect the stiffness.
2. Sleeve cuffs are extremely tight, even more so than the notorious TS cuffs. I tried to compensate in my measurements, but they still sewed up tight.
3. There seems to be a lot of excess fabric in the back. The front looks great and is nicely cut, but the back seems to billow out quite a bit, which surprises me. The shirt falls off the shoulder nicely, but then expands as it goes down to the tail. What measurement should I look to change to correct this?
Ratio recommends laundering and wearing before sending back for alterations, but these things aren't really fixed by a wash.

What measurement should I look to change to correct this? Ratio recommends laundering and wearing before sending back for alterations, but these things aren't really fixed by a wash. They have a link on their site with a phone number. They are after all a custom shirt maker, so they might be able to take your call and figure out the excess fabric in the back from your description of it. As for the laundering part, maybe it’s best to account for shrinkage before alterations are made, that’s how I took it. Lastly under the “Fitzgerald” collar, the description says “Interlining: Soft/Unfused (on casual shirts), Soft/Fused (on dress shirts)”. I imagine you could request to have any collar unfused but by default they make them fused. www.ratioclothing.com/contact-us

Yeah, even when you ask for an unfused collar, they're pretty substantial. But I've just got my default set to unfused.

I will try to post some fit pics after Christmas and let you guys know the feedback i get from Ratio.
I will say though, I'm a fan of the green chamois and brown buttons.

I agree with your button assessment. I recently saw a preview of a microcord shirt in dark green with white buttons and I thought they detracted from the color by drawing too much attention to... the buttons. I have seen white snaps and white contrast stitching on gitman westerns that looked pretty cool though.

Well, i decided to wear the shirt and see how i liked it. Wore it all week between Christmas and New Year and started to really like the fit. It looked great as a layering piece, either buttoned or unbuttoned and the extra material in the back didn't seem as pronounced after the shirt settled.
But then I washed it. As i always do, cold cycle with cold rinse and hang dry. The 9oz chamois shrunk so much that it's now unwearable. I lost over 2" in sleeve length, 2.25" in overall length, 1" in the shoulders, and .5" in the cuff. I was shocked that this material shrunk so much.

That's a crazy amount of shrinkage. Contact them, they'll send you a new one. But getting sizing right might be tricky.

That's what you might expect from cheap material washed and dried on hot. I know ratio accounts for some shrinkage in the measurements you give them, but its obvious something is not right. Let them try again.
