This is still an argument? Don't you just buy jeans that fit and move on? Well, ya can't know until you try them. And I've never felt like wasting money and time on a pair of G's if they won't fit. Maybe next time I have spare money and there's a fire sale on cheap denim.

Again, if they provided the rear rise, it would help immensely.

I've slowly been trimming down in fits since the baggy silver tabs I rocked in the 90's. The slim fit was the first I got to where I finally said too tight! Lots of reports saying "slim fit is flattering on most body types" and I guess I got caught up in the noise.

I like the slim, but I'm in my early 30s and have been accused of dressing like an Austin hipster.

This is still an argument? Don't you just buy jeans that fit and move on? Yup, and when the 34 slims I bought made me look like 10 pounds of crap in a 5 pound sack, I gave them to my much more in shape brother. And in doing so, created a monster. Heh. (for the record, the 34 straights I got later fit much better)

I think A lot has to do with 1- How big your Feet are. I have a size 9 shoe. Anything over a 9" cuff looks like I'm wearing bell bottoms. Needing a 38" waist gives me a 8.5" cuff in the slim. If I had a size 12 foot the straits would look better.
2- how big your Ass is. I've got No ass. Slims just work and I think look much better then straits which have a lot of extra denim with nothing to fill it.
I do think a little more rise in the back on the slims would be better Or better yet Gustin should just make them to speck and not short me an 1" in rise. Even with a smaller rise (speaking of keeping a pair just for a contest), even these won't look slim/skinny on me. Again, No ass to fill them but I never tuck my shirt in. So I'm covered.

I find their heavy belt fills the loops and keeps them from dropping dramatically, but if you don't wear a belt the slims nearly slide off if I have to squat down. This isn't unique to them, just something you need to be aware of with a low to low-ish rise. I've always just figured a perfect fit would come by luck or through full custom.

What those 2 guys above me said.
Look, I'm not playing football in these jeans or working in them so accounting for the asscrack is mostly a matter of wearing a belt. Well and soaking them as I am finding out that the pair that I just soaked last week and have been wearing around the house is not slipping. Conversely another pair that I did not soak and wore around the house before wearing out is more stiff and when I wore them out the crack thing came up when I was at a playground with little kids as I bent over several times while there.
I'm hardly skinny, but I'm long and these hug my ass but they look good. And the thighs are big enough. If I was to make them perfect I'd add a bit of back rise and make the calf area a little wider but that gets better if you cuff and pull them down and would get even better if you had them properly hemmed.
Oh, and I have size 12 boots that are Whites semi dress that I wear with G's all the time no problem. (the one's in the avatar)

This is still an argument? Don't you just buy jeans that fit and move on? That's assuming you want only one fit. I have different pants style/fit/fabric for different occasions. Grey silks 34 slim for fancy dates, J blackXblack 33 slim for nights out downtown with the younger crowd, J 13's 35 slim for labor/work, etc. And with Gustins delivery time and sometimes wonky sizing, it can be a crap shoot to get the size/fit you want.

MADNESS! It makes sense to me. I've got even casual clothes that are different cuts/styles for different events. If I'm wearing a leather jacket, I generally want a shirt tucked in. If I'm casual'er, I want to let it hang out and have more room to play with a lower/slimmer fit.

Oh, I get it, it just seems to me that people are very critical of other people--people they have likely never met (unless you happen to meet up with someone at Starbucks to try on their clothes)--and the cut of jeans they wear. Personally, I wear slimmer cuts, but I don't give a crap if other people wear straights, boot cuts, skinny, or denim leggings . . . It's none of my business.
