In England Rakuten is a very different beast ( www.rakuten.co.uk ). It seems like a weird offset that focuses on more 'budget' items- not too far off of Amazon. There may be similar thing through the rest of Europe as well, wouldn't be surprised if they have / will expand in to Spain. I remember back in the day two websites that were getting huge as online superstores were Amazon and Buy.com. IIRC Buy.com became Rakuten. So that makes sense.

Spellbound and Omnigod are 2 brands that I would see EVERYWHERE in Japan, and for dirt cheap. Like, $30 selvedge denim. When I see pieces on BOW and other retail sites, I can't help but wonder where do those good looking pieces come from, because I never saw a single piece in person that I was remotely in to man, where've I been just hearing about this company. One thing I really want in my wardrobe is sashiko, and this sashiko blazer is calling my name. www.blueowl.us/collections/spellbound/products/sashiko-blazer-in-indigo?variant=11746628161

so I think you and I are kind of in the same boat..floating between the XL/XXL range on their westerns. I can just give you my experience with it having tried out both sizes. The XL UHF's pretty much fit me like a glove too while the XXL's are roomier and allow more layering. You can get some shrink with a hot wash/hot dry but honestly I would avoid that if possible as it does affect the fabric a bit putting it under those extreme temps. It will still look damn good but it will affect it in a slightly negative way IMO. The UHF's are basically warm enough to where I don't need to layer much at all other than a thin T underneath or possibly even a wifebeater a la' disheveled. Over the past few winters I have discovered that overall I prefer the fit of the XL. If you cold hand wash these and hang dry you will get absolutely zero shrinkage and as a matter of fact, I feel like you even gain a hair in the length from letting them hang dry. I have never actually measured to prove it but it just feels that way. The main thing for me is if the length on the XL is long enough. As long as it is then I am golden with the XL. I have sold off two of my XXL's, replaced one with an XL, and have a third XXL currently for sale. So long story short (or not so short), I would stay with the XL. In my case i'm likely between a L and XL. The specs for the XL's seemed too big for me which is why I stuck with L. Length is also a concern. The length on the L is perfect. The sleeves are fine. They measured at 25.5 even though they're listed as 26.1 honestly don't sweat the measurements. The XLs are usually 23"+ across, and I thought I preferred 22"-22.5", but the extra inch or two works just fine for me. Love the fit of the 107 Black in XL much more than the 107 Red in L.

Ugh separate shipping charges. I'll have to be more selective now in my purchases. you have like $10k in footwear and you're fretting over a $6 shipping charge? yeah, it's kinda odd I suppose. But I hate spending money on shipping. I'll even spend more to avoid paying for shipping. Rather that money go towards something else I want. Plus if I return it, that shipping charge won't be refundable. So it was much easier to buy a bunch of things on one order where I paid shipping once. But now I'll have to be much more selective in what I want.

probably, I wear an XL in UHFs and they fit well. Whats your height/weight? Ickes' measurements seem close to mine and he wears an xl as well. moving forward I wonder if I should size up on UHF's and stick with my usual size for lighter fabrics I'm 5'8" 185. It's not so much about height and weight for me. I have a 42"+ chest and 18"+ shoulders, and the L is just tight all around, although length is good. XL fits me perfectly at the chest and shoulders, but is a little on the long side.

Ok, i've been able to try the shirt on and it fits like a glove. My only concern is potential shrinkage. I know this is advertised as once washed but the shirt came in a hair under spec in the chest and sleeves. I usually wear a plain white tee under my flannels but I could forego the tee under the 130 since it's so thick. Overall i'm pleased with the shirt but am now wondering if I would've been better off sizing up to an xl. Either way i'd still buy more IH flannels as funds permit probably, I wear an XL in UHFs and they fit well.

as of this weekend, it's back up to 20%. Bastards! Well, that will come in handy when they drop the Hbone Mechanics shirt. Now to start thinking of another email address I want to create. Maybe "strictlytaylorstitchdiscount@gmail"? then strictlytaylorstitchdiscount1@gmail, and strictlytaylorstitchdiscount2@gmail, and so on.

I'm less sure about the red 155 crazy checks, than my first impression. I'll give it more time to grow on me, but I may be letting this one go... What about it are you unsure of? probably the way it looks.

Yeah what size? That seems odd as IIRC you're about an average height. I'm 6' and the XLs are good for me. Medium. 5'9. They're quite a bit shorter than every other flannel I own. Maybe its my beer gut holding them up. Surprised a Medium fits you. Medium would be like a 38 TS, and iirc you're a 40 TS.

The Rakuten prices for the 155 don't seem that great. I've had IH shirts for $150 from RB, which I thought was a decent deal. At $216 plus the $30 for shipping, it gets to be less of a good deal. the exchange rate isn't so good right now from usd to yen.

He told me the same thing but I told him i sent it which I did. I'm pretty sure you paid with F&F so you can't escalate it huh? From what I've read, even with Friends and Family you can still escalate it.
