Prices seem to be trending downwards on the NMDs. I caved and bought a pair from resell. Nice! I noticed that on eBay and Grailed they've dropped below $200.

I take 100 dollars worth of aluminum and 100 dollars worth of titanium. I'm going to get a hell of a lot less titanium, and it's going to weigh less than the aluminum. That doesn't mean the aluminum is better and certainly doesn't mean they should have charged me less for the titanium. In other words, such a basic business principle isn't nearly as basic or simple as "more is better" implies. Further, if I needed aluminum, it doesn't matter how great the titanium is, and even though the titanium is worth more and superior in some ways, if I can't use it it doesn't matter. We aren't comparing aluminum to titanium, we are comparing jeans to jeans. they're both metals, so it's metal to metal.

Except there isn't a market for buying beater cars at a high premium. There's a reason they were priced the way they were, namely very cheaply, and eventually became obsolete.

That's only true if you're comparing the weight between two denims using the same fabric/materials. If there was a 21 oz Indigo Silk Classic and a 12 oz Indigo Silk Classic, then yes, weight should factor in. But when you're comparing two completely different fabrics, weight is only a small factor. The actual fabric makeup is the biggest factor. Otherwise, we'd be comparing everything to the Japan One Seven and saying why isn't everything of a lighter weight cheaper than $81? The old apples to apples argument. I don't think silk is that expensive. You can get 100% silk pants for < $50. I suppose the mill is charging Gustin a lot for this fabric because it's so "rare". The apples to apples argument isn't out dated you know.. Silk weaved with cotton to make denim isn't something you see everyday, so yes, it is rare. If you're basing your argument about what you've seen "silk pants" go for, please explain how denims cost over $100 when we can get cotton pants for < $50.

it seems to be for most people, oddly. It's not the only qualifier but it's probably the biggest qualifier. The more of something you have the more it will cost. Probably the most basic principal of business. That's only true if you're comparing the weight between two denims using the same fabric/materials. Fancy silk denim. Last year I'd probably have bought them. You don't like fancy pants anymore? I love them, I just can't justify them anymore.

I like the jacket, especially for the workshop plus 20% off price. I'm not skinny (5'8 180) and it fits me great. It's a great spring lightweight jacket. Will it protect me in a monsoon? No. But it adds some warmth and rain resistance over a shirt. what size did you get?

I hope they ignore you. They have lol, I'm an outlier I'm a size 40, probably 41, with between a 16.5" and 17" neck. Will never be able to button the top button on anything but a dress shirt.

Just tried it on. I ordered a 42 hoping for a bit more room, but wow, these are tight. I can get them buttoned and everything, but just barely. Like an absolute glove, which isn't the ideal fit for these. Length is very very short, but I guess that's sorta expected for a trucker-type jacket. The wrists are very tight. If you have big wrists.. Lastly, mine seem to be heavily oiled. Like it's still in the molding faze. Crazy supple and oily.

Only tried these on, have never been worn, all prices include shipping, all size 36, slim fit (these all seem to be sewn up relatively small, probably would fit a "small" 36, 35, or a 34 more comfortably): Cone BlueXBlack - $75 www.weargustin.com/store/684Charcoal Organic Hemp - $150 www.weargustin.com/store/684Raw Umber - $80 www.weargustin.com/store/228Swrve Cordura "Skinny" bike jean (size 36, only worn a couple times, cordura fabric to stand up to bike use) - $60 swrve.myshopify.com/products/cordura-skinny-fit-jeans?variant=331191941Open to offers, I don't check this site often, so please email me at ollyisk at gmail . com. Here's my eBay for anyone that's iffy: www.ebay.com/usr/ollyiskI've also got a pair of BlackXAquas and a pair of brown organics that I'm willing to take offers on, not 100% sure I'll hang onto them or not. Thanks for checking it out! can you put up measurements for these and the blackxaqua? Curious what you mean by fit a 34 comfortably.

Hi @untucked . Could you clarify "Unborn, unwashed, in soaked."? Have they been soaked to shrink the unsanforized denim? What are the actual measurements at this point? Thanks. Pretty sure it was autocorrect and he means unworn, unwashed, and unsoaked.

Chucks with Gustin slims I like but not a wider cuff I agree. Alden Indy I do not wear with jeans either. Been wearing cuffs on the 19oz Sammy's with my iron rangers. Love it. Aw shucks! Today we are wearing and Easter outfit. More dapper than selvedge style but I love a good bow tie with and OCBD. Grey chinos and walnut strands. who even are you?

Nice pieces all around but I may wear them differently. No matter how hard I try, I think Converse is just not a good match with the more rugged IH gears. I can see why you may think that. But if not Boots (wear those at work and get tired of them) then what else then a pair of Chucks? sneakers are fine here. It's a casual look so boots/chukkas/derbies/sneakers should all work.

Rugged colors today. Jacket: Taylor Stitch Shirt: Taylor Stitch Pants: Iron Heart Boots: ePxAlden Look nice but I would prefer a cleaner roll. I'm just breaking these in, then shipping them to get hemmed and tapered. The opening is too big, as big as a Gustin Straight fit opening.
