Great points gentlemen. I made suggestions in order to build the high-end custom site but agree this would be a major build and to DD's point, with fabrics changing often, it wouldn't be a realistic solution. I think as long as people can see more of the fabric, maybe build one sample of a finished product or as much as possible for the buyer to envision the finished product would be helpful. Also better descriptions would help like G does.

jbreitenbucher - IMO, they need more pics of the denim swatches and some completed pics. What I think would be really cool is that when you build a pair of jeans that you can see the options you choose on the denim as you choose them - thread color, etc. Once you've completed customizing your pair, it would be nice to see what the finished pair would look like. I know this is a lot of work, but just saying what I think would be cool.

Just got a winterweight flannel and a sweater from jcrew factory - thanks Bugala!
The shirt is great as is the sweater. Highly recommend both for around $40 each. Can't go wrong IMO.

I have to give kudo's to G though - the blackxred is selling pretty fast - already at ~60%. I heard shipping to Canada has gone up to $23 which amazes me. I order stuff from the US all of the time for $10.

Very cool Matt and DD - maybe I'll buy them all a pair of 17 ozers so I can hear the whining! I've got twin 5 year-olds and a 7 year-old. Maybe they can do some modelling!

DD - that's hilarious. I would take my wife. Waiting for my lawless orders and then I'm going to get her a pair so she'll understand...maybe. I have 3 young daughters so hopefully one day they'll say "my dad wears the coolest jeans"
I'd also rather take her to NYC - we love it there

I would love to join/meet you guys but the trip from Toronto, Canada would be too far and my wife would think I'd absolutely lost it. She already thinks I spend enough time with you guys:)

Does anyone know what color thread G uses and what the equivalent is at LD? i think that the brown-orange thread is the 'classic jeans' thread color, closest to what G uses on their contrast stitched indigo denims. perhaps others will chime in with their thoughts. Thanks

I meant for the custom - I chose brown-orange - but I think G uses more of a gold color which I prefer.

Griffin - I would measure your already stretched G's and if they're over 36 inches, i'd get a 36. A 35 with lawless will mean you have to stretch them at least 1 inch. It's possible, but you may not like the outcome. Just my opinion.

Matt - great suggestion by stinky if you're worried which I don't blame you. I saw Roman post on kickstarter that you better get your size right because once they're made, they can't do anything about it. Having said that, I believe they measure true to the waist size, so a 33 is a 33. If you need a bit of stretch because you're really a 33.5, go with a 33. If you're really a 34 go with a 34 because a 33 would be too small. I did switch styles because of the to a slim-straight because the relaxed slim in a 34 would have been baggy in places on me.

I can understand some sizing confusion over the way Lawless tells how to measure on the website. Some customers are getting other specific first hand directions etc. We have reached out to them for some clarification. Will post or they will post when we find out In the meantime lets not get all crazed over sizing as we know sometimes kinks have to be worked out by any newer company. I am sure any sizing issues will be taken care of if items were ordered with an incorrect understanding of what size to specify. The first order to be posted here has fit just fine. Breathe everyone.... Well, I understand what you're saying but I've got 400 bucks invested in Lawless from the KS so I want to be certain I'm measuring and ordering correctly. I'm not panicking at this point but I'm damn sure not going to piss away 400 bucks. I don't blame you Matt - I think I've got it right based on how Roman does the sizing. It's a true size so 33 would be 33 inches.

Matt - it's for the exact reason DD mentioned. A 33 would be exactly 33 inches and 0.5 an inch too small for me. With the 34, I'll only have to stretch them 0.5 an inch. That's the plan anyway! If I recall, you take a 32 in G, which would be exactly 32.5 inches. If you only stretch yours 1/2 an inch, I'd go with a 32 in LD. If you buy a 32 in G and need an inch of stretch, you may be better with a 33.
