I have not purchased any TS shirting yet and wanted to see from the group how their fit is working for them. Are they coming in to the fit guide? Do you see any shrink in the wash? How is the quality, specifically pattern alignment with checks and stripes?

I like the fit in all of them, and would say they came per the specs, and have realized no shrinkage from laundering. I have a brushed twill Highland shirt from a workshop order coming next month. |

Fit - tailored. If you are fat they probably won't be the best brand for you. Shirts are Pretty tailored in the waist so even if you have a little belly it may be a little snug. Trust me! Arms aren't too tight for my two 42 shirts.
Quality- both the Yosemite and Mechanic shirts both are great quality. High end materials and good construction
Shrink - no clue I don't wash my clothing.

No I'm living in the 1880's not washing my clothing just wear them until they disintegrate.
We wear work wear from the turn on the Century why not treat them like clothing from the old days.
But really I try not to get things dirty and when I do I'll either spot clean or hand wash in cold and air dry.

No bleeds or anything. Both shirts have had loose strings and I've lost two buttons off the railroad stripe, but I really like both shirts. The pattern alignments are good on both shirts if you discount the lopsided pockets on the ticking stripe - I didn't notice it until others here brought it up. It still doesn't bother me. If you're really curious about TS, grab something off BST or off their Last Call selection. It's a cheap way to test your sizing while getting a cool shirt. |

I only have one shirt, the Chore shirt, and the sleeves seem a bit short. Is this normal for TS compared to other brands? I do have long arms, but J crew and Bononos are perfect on me, so they aren't crazy long.

I do have long arms, but J crew and Bononos are perfect on me, so they aren't crazy long. I have 2 TS shirts, both Mechanics. For background, I'm 5'9 1/2" and about 165 (fit and trim). Compared to Gustin or JCrew - I would say the TS shirt is indeed a slim/tailored shirt. I'm a 38 in TS, G shirts are medium classic or slim large, and JCrew slim medium. The G slim large is the only one I feel comfortable washing/drying normally - the G classic and TS 38 are both shirts I will opt for a dry cleaner to prevent unnecessary shrink. I could've gone to a 40 in TS, but the 38 is spot on. I think the body of the shirt is definitely more in-line with my G slim and JCrew slim shirts. The sleeves fit best on my TS and JCrew (G classic), while G slim large could probably stand to lose about a 1/2". I would say with the initial snugness of the sleeve openings, I thought they may be short, but they hang exactly where you want it and would be right in line with wearing a jacket over them. |

Maybe it's just the case with that particular TS shirt that you have and/or you just have really long arms. |

I have long arms and would like an extra 1/4" or 3/8" on them.
That being said, they do hit right where they are supposed to. It's just odd adjusting to them hitting right at the base of your wrist vs wider cuffs where the end of the cuff would fall slightly over your wrist onto your hand.

Love the shirt but this has made me hold off from purchasing anything else

Has anyone come across this before? Love the shirt but this has made me hold off from purchasing anything else I have that on one shirt out of 5. |

Love the shirt but this has made me hold off from purchasing anything else i have maybe 9 of their shirts. none have sloppy button holes. the only real issues are that one came in sized a bit under spec (and i thought i could live with it a bit too long to send back) and 2-3 have tight cuffs (while the rest do not). other than that they're all made consistently well. i've definitely been happy with their shirts, but i've never paid full price either...i think every shirt i've purchased from them has been at $88 or less with a combination of workshop and/or coupons. |

toolonginexile I have about 3 long sleeves and I think only one is kinda sloppy, the swift mills utility workshirt. Like David said, cuffs are pretty tight and even moving button won't help if you wear watches. It's a little underspec in the chest which again like David i thought i could live with it lol. I prolly could try to return it as I am pretty cool with the guys in store. I haven't bought any shirts in over a year though so can't say much with newer releases.

Actually as I thought about it more I realized that one shirt does have one messed up button hole. On of the button holes on the cuff of my ISC utility shirt is starting to detach.

Thanks everyone for the reply. The shirt at issue "The Utility Shirt" Cone Mills Indigo Selvage Canvas. And yes, it is also very narrow in the sleeves. Almost too narrow, but i havent washed it yet. I thank everyone again for the reply, just wanted to see what this was all about....i had emailed them about this a while back when they sent me a survey, i probably should have followed up with them..... |
