I thought it was decided that it wasn't the same denim as sugar cane, but a very decent approximation, lacking in sugar cane fibers. You're probably right, I don't exactly remember

It still will probably be a live action version of the itchy and scratchy show.

I just broke down and got a pair of "#257 JAPAN ORGANIC JUTE $99". Never got rid of that 15 from last spring, and I don't have the motivation to even care, so I sized up so I have a pair to tuck with... Normally, Gustin jeans are consistent and having gone out and tried on tons of store jeans, I've given up.

Also, does anyone have the Italy IndigoxIndigo? Those sewed up small right? Some in the stock store I want to nab. Acording to USPS, mine are in the mailbox. I'll try them on and compair with the previous jeans tonight.

By the way, the Japan Pure Brown have made a reappearance in the Gustin store, if anyone was looking for a brown pair.

I think I need to add "vintage" to the Gustin pricing strategy. You pay for "vintage" look, but not actually vintage.

" but we wanted to use it just a bit differently" But more of the same old button down. I should have my wool shirt from Manny Saturday Totally ridiculous. Blackwatch plaid in that boring button down. Plus, heaven forbid the flanneled side sits on the outside of the shirt for fear it look too "flannely." Gustin, just go and buy some blackwatch in oxford material and call yourself Bonobos already if you just wanted to make a plaid button down for "adventurous" dudebros. "But we got this light-ass flannel for soooo cheap!" EDIT: "tell us how you really feel." Haha.

FWIW I just bought almost that exact same black watch from JCrew for $39.99. Also, Uniqlo sometimes has them for even cheaper. The Jcrew one I got is here and it's very soft and I can't imagine the Gustin version is that much nicer for 3 times the price. Here is the shirt: www.jcrew.com/mens_category/shirts/oxford/PRDOVR~C9947/C9947.jspProbably made by slaves in China but so is your iPhone.

Flannel isn't wool, and I don't know that this particular pattern or color way makes it any better or worse that it's the same style shirt. I think it'll be interesting to see if the sew shop sews it up the way gustin wants, though, since they have a questionable track record with that sort of thing.

I said it's been "flanneled," which it is. It's cotton that's been brushed to create nap. Though flannel is sometimes made of wool. SO...not sure what your point is? EDIT: Bozer, that JCrew shirt looks like it is made of oxford cloth. Is it? Or is it flanneled on one side like this Gustin stuff? EDIT 2: Oh, exophobe...are you talking about comparing Gustin's to DigDug's blackwatch? Yeah, clearly very different materials.

The only thing similar with the Gustin and what JeanMaker is sending me is the description "BlackWatch" after that completely different shirts.

whiskeyriver - you got it on edit 2, I was attempting to identify that they weren't the same, and got lazy and didn't quote it. The other thing I was trying to say is that, personal taste aside, I don't think the gustin shirt is the abomination it's being played up as, but I'm legitimately curious if the sew shop will see them outside in per request or if they'll come out fuzzy on the outside. I think it may have been perceived that I was just continuing on my gustin tear from the work shirt thread, and this wasn't my intent.

I didnt mean denim, i just feel there are alot of brown pants atleast where i go like work and so on. This shade reminds me of something i see everyday. Maybe it looks very good irl with the denim texture i just wont back it personally. Wrangler has all shades of brown tho.

Are the Zimbs that great? My favorite denim are my Oni 517. Trying to decide between Zimbs and some Iron Heart IxI or something from Ciano.
