Interesting. I've just compared my black and indigo 33s, both L. The black was new and I warm soaked it once. The indigo second-hand was soaked to take out shrinkage, allegedly. Don't know the exact details of that, but may have been washed or soaked more for all I know.
Anyway, both are virtually identical when flat. If anything, the indigo is maybe a couple of mm wider. I wouldn't size up on the strength of that, but at least you can hot wash down, so no big deal. Better a bit too big than a bit too small.
